Liz
I think that I embarrassed you when you were alive by messaging you and telling you how proud I was to have you as my cousin. I was however being genuine. You were a very special person who will be missed by so many people.

Although we were never close, I was always fond of you, and both Tessa and Joan always spoke highly of you. I though your photographic and lighting work was impressive particularly your work on Ironbridge which was fantastic! Sorry you had to go so soon,

Howell xx

Liz really cared… she was always kind and generous to me with her time and knowledge – I knew I could ask Liz (a proper expert) what I would think of as a stupid question and she’d give me (a doofus) a patient and helpful answer. I loved the way that there was no nonsense with Liz and we often thought along the same lines – she just ‘got’ me and had my back. Liz, you have gone far too soon and will always be missed.

A kind and caring soul, talented lighting expert and fellow crazy cat lady. Will miss our lockdown chats and so glad that our last evening together in person was filled with laughter in the company of friends. You’ll be missed but never forgotten, rest in peace.

Liz

I am honoured to have had you as a friend. We met at Sheffield Hallam University where we had some good laughs and nights out. We met again in May 2019 back in Sheffield for a reunion and it was like we had never been away. You will be truly missed and any future reunions will not be the same but we will certainly raise a few glasses to you.

Liz,
Thank you for you friendship, encouragement and guidance.
Along with our catch ups, I will always remember our trip to Mexico for the International Year of Light closing ceremony. After getting to see the incredible Chichen Itza, I remembered we laughed for the whole 2 hour bus journey back to the hotel.
Along with your friendship, your commitment and conviction are an inspiration to me.
My love and thoughts are with your family.

Liz, Thank you for your friendship ❤️ I have so many memories to share – from our first night ‘out out’, to planning and surprising Simon and Jon in Shrewsbury, to most recently at the Iron Bridge for the big switch on with a glass of wine – and all of the wonderful times in-between. As well as being a trusted friend, and a big support you taught me to always respond with a smile (there’s always something to smile about!) – and to be kind. Your selfless approach to everything was admirable. You really were one of a kind… Read more »

Dear Liz
A friend to so many you talked us into so many escapades, small agreements that led to so many great things. We shared a tear when times were difficult, we shared laughs when times were good. Thankfully, there were far more good times than bad when you were amongst us.
I will always be grateful to say you were the finest of friends.
