You always have something positive to say about everyone , just remember you created housing link and it was your baby ! we will all missed you.
I will always remember your kindness ,understanding and empathy on the people who walk through the door of Housing Link.
God bless you and may you rest in peace .

David – I think of bumping into you -frosty now and misty then. Cycling between Brick Lane and points East – Whitechapel Rd – Bow flyover. Listening, questioning, writing – and bringing friends together in a basement, pub, show or reading. Joining many points on the map. With love. Rich

Barney spoke of your gift “seeing the beauty in small things. I echo this – reminded of the Lincolnshire curlews calling just as the livestream chimed in with North london parakeets and crows above the shiny black vehicle that carried your body – A small group of friends and family nearby – unfocussed figures reflected in the polished paint. Many memories and love all around.

I can only then believe that you have passed this same kindness, love, strength, bravery and wonder that you hold onto many others during your life, and am sure you will continue to pass this on, as our impact never wanes as long as we are remembered, which you shall be for a very long… Read more »

My uncle was a wonderful person and I wish I’d made more of an effort to get to know him better.

It started in Stepney and ended in America; the green leaves will make a song of everything in between. Take it easy townie, Sal Paradise and Dean Moriarty had nothing on us.

Sorry we couldn’t join you today but we watched your very moving ceremony for David on streaming. We have fond memories of David occasionally cycling up Brick Lane or when he stopped to call into Brick Lane Bookshop to find out if his books of poetry were selling well. It was always a pleasure to see him, to ask if Nik, Barney and Holly were well and to have a quick chat about his writing or doing a poetry reading in the shop. I’ll always remember his support and care of people with mental health issues who I referred to… Read more »
